Mother’s Day is always terrifying for me, mostly because I’m terrible at gift giving and my mom is really, really specific about what she likes to get.
She kept sending me emails with links to things she liked but I just thought that seemed so uncreative and not original at all – I wanted to be able to think of something great to get her. I had just purchased internet at home through one of the wireless internet providers in the area so the last few nights I’ve been doing a lot of online shopping for mom. I actually had a great epiphany…I’ll get her gardening supplies!
She loves to garden but I know she needs new gloves and some new tools, so I think something like that would just really make her proud of how thoughtful I was. I’m going to get with dad sometime this week to figure out what she really needs. Since when did Mother’s Day become such a high pressure situation?
