Before we go judging the teacher. We don't know what the guidelines for the assignment were. It's quite possible that the student didn't follow the rules or possibly submitted it late. Both reasons for the low grade.
i love this animation, i can see a lot of time was spent on creating this, loved the use of the notebook paper, it fits with the story and song... i cant see how this got a D? the teacher gets an F...
Paul -- If my wife could come up with some dandy animation like that, I'd be promoting the hell out of it in hopes of retiring and following my Office Space-inspired dream of doing nothing.
Lala -- That reminds me of a problem my kids have -- a father who is just waiting for the chance to mix it up with a teacher. I almost came unglued on one that suggested that my son should be on medication for what she diagnosed as ADHD.
Drug my kid, will ya?
Da Old Man -- That just goes to show you that you can find some cool stuff on YouTube, after you sift through all the horrible "live" videos that were shot by some drunk with a camera phone, etc.
Imitationangel -- That's what I thought...
Fennster -- Same here. My guess is the teacher just couldn't relate to the wonderful, wonderful Screeching Weasel.
Lyndon -- Aww, what's the fun in that? This is America -- making assumptions and going off half-cocked is the national past time!
ms o.d. -- A lot of time was spent on that, indeed. When I first saw it, I thought it was an actual pro video that Screeching Weasel paid someone to make.
Alas, if only could get the illustator for that video to do your "Super Weasel Lawyer Team" cartoon. For you would surely have a multi-million (maybe even billion!) dollar syndication deal in your future, but dreams like that only come true in the movies (and South Park, of course).

You are right. That is cool and that teacher who gave him a "D" really has no imagination at all...
Their teacher is probably just jealous!
At our house, I would be saying to my wife, "Laura, you should have gotten an 'A'!"
Yay! That was awesome! I don't think the teacher understood how much actual work went into that. And she doesn't know that stick figures are "in"
I would have been up at that school toot-sweet!
It was a winner to me.
That teacher should have gotten a 'D' for giving them that grade. That was definitely 'A' material.
A D??? Crap I would have failed school if I had this teacher. That was very well done! People love stick people....teacher must be big
While it was a fun and pretty cool video.

Yeah. I like it that much...
Who doesn't love stick figures? I used to spend hours in class making animated stick figure stories. I love the student's imagination. A+
